All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />#10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: The free chlorine level is 24.5 ppm.Take immediate action to reduce the free chlorine to the range of 2.0 <br />- 10.0 ppm. MAJOR VIOLATION CLOSURE CONDITION <br />Neutralizer added ; re-check 0.2 ppm <br />1/2 gallon chlorine added. <br />Re-check 10.6 <br />MAJOR violation corrected on site. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br />the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br />or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br />chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br />#12 pH Level <br /> MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: The pH is >8.0. Take immediate action to reduce pH to the range of 7.2 to 7.8. MAJOR VIOLATION <br />CLOSURE CONDITION <br />pH rechecked at 7.6 <br />Major violation corrected on site. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain pH between 7.2 and 7.8. (CCR 65530) <br />#11 Combined Chlorine Concentration <br />OBSERVATIONS: The combined chlorine level is 1.0 ppm. Take action to reduce combined chlorine level to 0.4ppm or <br />lower. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain combined chlorine concentration below 0.4 ppm. (CCR 65530) Chemical quality <br />of pool water and indoor air quality at the pool site shall not cause adverse physiological effects, such as irritation of the eyes, lungs, or <br />skin. (CCR 65531) <br />#35 Flow Meters <br />OBSERVATIONS: One of the flowmeters is "stuck." Repair / replace flowmeter by 2 weeks. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Flow meters shall be provided on each recirculation system and shall be installed in accordance with <br />manufacturer's specifications.
