All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />#10 Disinfectant Residual <br />OBSERVATIONS: The free chlorine level is 0.6 ppm. Increase free chlorine level to 1.0 to 10.0 ppm. <br />1/2 gallon of liquid chlorine was added on site by John of Vintage Pools. Free chlorine level increased to 13.2 ppm. <br />'Note, Next year, a free chlorine level of 10.2 ppm or greater will result in a closure. <br />VIOLATION DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall <br />maintain the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with <br />cyanuric acid or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 <br />ppm free chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br />#12 pH Level <br />OBSERVATIONS: The pH level is greater than 8.0. Reduce pH to 7.2 -7.8. Correct today. <br />1/8 gallon of muriatic acid was added on site by John of Vintage Pools. <br />Corrected on site to 7.2 <br />VIOLATION DESCRIPTION Pool operator shall maintain pH between 7.2 and 7.8.
