All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. #4 Safety Equipment OBSERVATIONS: The rope is not attached to the life ring. Properly tie the rope to the life ring today. Corrected on site. CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use. Pools shall have at minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. (CCR 65540) #8 Pool and Deck Lighting OBSERVATIONS: The lights on the north half of the pool are not functioning. Repair / replace lights by 2 weeks. CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pools used at night shall be equipped with underwater light fixtures that provide complete illumination of the pool. When a pool is used at night, pool deck and emergency egress areas shall be provided with lighting. If underwater or deck lighting is not operational, the pool operator shall post a sign in 4-inch letters stating "NO USE OF POOL ALLOWED AFTER DARK" and shall secure the pool area and not permit any use of the pool after dark. (31158) #11 Combined Chlorine Concentration OBSERVATIONS: The combined chlorine level is 0.6ppm.Take action to reduce the combined chlorine to 0.4 ppm or lower. CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain combined chlorine concentration below 0.4 ppm. (CCR 65530) Chemical quality of pool water and indoor air quality at the pool site shall not cause adverse physiological effects, such as irritation of the eyes, lungs, or skin. (CCR 65531) #22 Skimmer Assembly OBSERVATIONS: All float valve assemblies lack o-rings. Provide and install o-rings for all float valve assemblies. Correct by 2 weeks. CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool shall be equipped to provide continuous skimming of the pool water. All parts of the skimmer shall be maintained in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
