All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and most be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />#10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: The free chlorine in the outdoor pool is at 1.0 ppm. Increase to 2.0- 10.0 ppm. Correct immediately. <br />*CLOSURE CONDITION* <br />Maintenance added chlorine during inspection. Will recheck before leaving site. <br />Free chlorine checked about an hour later. Free chlorine at 2.4 ppm. <br />Corrected on site - OK TO REOPEN. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br />the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br />or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br />chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br />#8 Pool and Deck Lighting <br />OBSERVATIONS: Four of five lights in the outdoor pool are not working. The clubhouse closes at 8pm on weekdays, but <br />9pm on weekends. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pools used at night shall be equipped with underwater light fixtures that provide complete illumination of the <br />pool. When a pool is used at night, pool deck and emergency egress areas shall be provided with lighting. If underwater or deck lighting is <br />not operational, the pool operator shall post a sign in 4-inch letters stating "NO USE OF POOL ALLOWED AFTER DARK" and shall <br />secure the pool area and not permit any use of the pool after dark. (3115B) <br />#35 Flow Meters <br />OBSERVATIONS: The flow meter for the outdoor pool is not working. Replace flow meter within 1 week. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Flow meters shall be provided on each recirculation system and shall be installed in accordance with <br />manufacturer's specifications.
