All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />#12 pH Level MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: pH is >8. Provide pH 7.2 -7.8 today. Corrected on site. Now pH is 7.6 <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain pH between 7.2 and 7.8. (CCR 65530) <br />#4 Safety Equipment <br />OBSERVATIONS: Life ring is not in good shape. Replace life ring before reopening. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use. Pools shall have at <br />minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw <br />rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br />(CCR 65540) <br />#9 Ladders and Handrails <br />OBSERVATIONS: Double hand rail is loose. Fix before reopening. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: A means of entry and exit shall be provided at both the shallow and deep end of the pool. Ladders and <br />handrails shall be corrosion resistant and shall be rigidly installed. At least one handrail shall extend from the deck to not less than a point <br />above the top of the lowest step. Handrails shall be installed between 28 to 36 inches above the steps and deck. (CBC 3111B) Pool <br />operator shall keep ladders and handrails well maintained. (CCR 65535) <br />#22 Skimmer Assembly <br />OBSERVATIONS: Skimmer is lacking weir gate and float device. Provide weir gate and float device in 1 week. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool shall be equipped to provide continuous skimming of the pool water All parts of the skimmer shall be <br />maintained in accordance with manufacturer specifications. (CBC 3136B) <br />#36 Pressure and Vacuum Gauges <br />OBSERVATIONS: Effluent gauge is not installed. Provide Effluent gauge in 1 week and the difference in pressure between <br />the Influent and Effluent readings should not exceed the 10 PSI at all times. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pressure and vacuum gauges shall be provided for each pump system.
