All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />#10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: The free chlorine level is 1.2 ppm. Increase free chlorine level to the range of 2.0 to 10.0 ppm. Correct <br />immediately. MAJOR VIOLATION / CLOSURE CONDITION. <br />Pool service tech added 2/3 gallon of liquid chlorine . <br />Rechecked: 8.0 <br />MAJOR Corrected on site <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br />the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br />or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br />chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br />#18 Pool Shell and Tile <br />OBSERVATIONS: The pool plaster has black algae build-up. Take action to remove black algae. <br />The pool plaster has some cracking and pitting. <br />Re-plaster pool by next season. <br />Per Manager, there are two pending bids for re-plastering the pool. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool shells shall be white and have a smooth waterproof interior finish that will withstand repeated brushing, <br />and scrubbing. A spa pool may be finished in a light color other than white when approved by the enforcement agency. (CBC 3108B) <br />#36 Pressure and Vacuum Gauges <br />OBSERVATIONS: The effluent gauge is broken. Properly install a new effluent gauge by 2 weeks. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pressure and vacuum gauges shall be provided for each pump system.
