All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />#4 Safety Equipment <br />OBSERVATIONS: The rope of the safety ring is tangled. Untangle the rope today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use. Pools shall have at <br />minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw <br />rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br />(CCR 65540) <br />#17 Cleanliness of Pool <br />OBSERVATIONS: There is some sand at the bottom of the pool. Vacuum within 5 days. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain clean pool water while the pool is in use and shall not allow debris to accumulate <br />in the pool. Pool operator shall clean the bottom, sides, and other surfaces of the pool as often as necessary to keep pool surfaces clean <br />and free of slime and algae. (OCR 65533) <br />#31 Disinfectant Feeders <br />OBSERVATIONS: The chlorinator is leaking. A replacement order already has been replaced. Fix or replace within 2 <br />weeks. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Each pool shall be provided with a system capable of continuous disinfection of the pool water. (CBC 3123B) <br />Disinfectant feeders shall be capable of supplying not less than the equivalent of 3 pounds of 100 percent available chlorine per day per <br />10,000 gallons of pool water. (CBC 31348) <br />#38 Filter Cleaning and Maintenance <br />OBSERVATIONS: The influent is at 30 psi. Backwash the filter within 2 days. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: All filters shall be maintained in accordance with manufacturer's specifications. (CBC 31238) Pressure gauge <br />located on the filter shall be marked with the clean startup reading. (CBC 3125B) Each filter vessel shall be provided with valves so that it <br />can be isolated from the recirculation system for repairs and backwashing.
