SAN JOAQUIN <br /> Environmental Health Department <br />Time In: 10.00 am <br />Time Out: 11:30 am <br />Swimming Pool Official Inspection Report <br />Name of Facility: DESTINATIONS COMMUNITY Date: 08/06/2018 <br />Address: 199 OLIVE GROVE DR, STOCKTON 95209 <br />Owner/Operator: DESTINATIONS COMMUNITY Telephone: <br />Program Element: 3611 - PUBLIC POOL/SPA- PRIMARY <br />Inspection Type: ROUTINE INSPECTION - Operating Permit <br />VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br />Items listed on this report as violations do not meet the requirements set forth in the California Health and Safety Code section(s) 116043, 116040, & <br />116050. All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />#4 Safety Equipment <br />OBSERVATIONS: The life ring does not have a rope attached. Attach a rope to the life ring that will reach across the entire <br />pool. <br />Life hook is unreachable and one is on the ground. Locate these items so they are easily accessible and clearly visible. <br />CAL CODE DESCRIPTION: Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use. Pools shall have at <br />minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw <br />rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br />(CCR 65540) <br />#9 Ladders and Handrails <br />OBSERVATIONS: One pair of hand rails are loose, secure the handrails so they are sturdy. <br />CAL CODE DESCRIPTION: A means of entry and exit shall be provided at both the shallow and deep end of the pool. Ladders and <br />handrails shall be corrosion resistant and shall be rigidly installed. At least one handrail shall extend from the deck to not less than a point <br />above the top of the lowest step. Handrails shall be installed between 28 to 36 inches above the steps and deck. (CBC 3111B) Pool <br />operator shall keep ladders and handrails well maintained. (CCR 65535) <br />#10 Disinfectant Residual <br />OBSERVATIONS: Free chlorine measured at 12.6 ppm. Operator must maintain free chlorine levels between 3.0 and 10.0 <br />ppm when using cyanuric acid. <br />CAL CODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br />the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br />or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br />chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br />#17 Cleanliness of Pool <br />OBSERVATIONS: Leaves accumulating on the pool surface and bottom of the pool. Clean pool during next pool service. <br />CAL CODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain clean pool water while the pool is in use and shall not allow debris to accumulate <br />in the pool. Pool operator shall clean the bottom, sides, and other surfaces of the pool as often as necessary to keep pool surfaces clean <br />and free of slime and algae.
