In 1988 a <br /> site investigation revealed the presences of methane as high as 18% in one boring. The <br /> site is known to generate methane and is cause for concern. <br /> f° <br /> The proposed well located at the property adjacent the site will require sampling for <br /> I <br /> volatile organic compounds (VOCs) upon completion of construction of the well and the <br /> Environmental Health Department (EHD) recommends periodic sampling throughout the <br /> useful life of the well. The EHD has not received any reports of impacts to ground water t <br /> from the World Enterprise Site or the French Camp Landfill located in the immediate <br /> area. <br /> During the construction of the well if driller encounters any suspected landfill gas please <br /> contact the EHD immediately.
