•
URS Corporation
February 10, 2005
' Page 5
' SUMMARY
The results of the TC survey indicate a broad zone of low conductivity material throughout most of
' the survey area that we interpret as representing imported fill and buried debris and/or refuse. The
VMG survey defined areas within this zone that represent buried metallic debris. They are primarily
located along the north boundary, and in the southwest and southeast corners. Where ER profiles were
' located, the landfill material is interpreted as ranging from 20 to 35 feet thick and generally occurs at
a depth of 5 to 10 feet.
' STANDARD CARE AND WARRANTY
' The scope of NORCAL's services for this project consisted of using geophysical methods to
characterize the shallow subsurface. The accuracy of our findings is subject to specific site conditions
and limitations inherent to the techniques used. We performed our services in a manner consistent with
the standard of care ordinarily exercised by members of the profession currently employing similar
methods. No warranty, with respect to the performance of services or products delivered under this
agreement, expressed or implied, is made by NORCAL.
We appreciate having the opportunity to provide our services to URS Corporation for this investigation.
' Respectfully,
NORCAL Geophysical Consultants, Inc.
Donald J.
