SECTIONTHREE Responsibilities and Authorities <br /> • Determining that monitoring equipment(if required)is used properly by URS personnel and is <br /> calibrated in accordance with manufacturer's instructions or other standards, and that the results are <br /> properly recorded and filed. <br /> • Checking with Health and Safety Representative to assure URS personnel have current medical <br /> clearance and training. <br /> • Assuming any other duties as directed by the PM. <br /> • Coordinating with URS Health and Safety Professional to identify URS personnel on-site for whom <br /> special PPE,exposure monitoring, or work restrictions may be required. <br /> • Conducting documented safety meetings (tailgate meetings)for all site personnel. <br /> • Providing ongoing review of the protection level needs as project work is performed, and informing <br /> the PM of the need to upgrade/downgrade protection levels as appropriate. <br /> • Seeing that decontamination procedures are followed by URS personnel. <br /> • Halting URS site operations, if necessary, in the event of an emergency or to correct unsafe work <br /> practices. <br /> • Maintaining the visitor log. <br /> • Maintaining inventories of all required PPE and equipment. <br /> 3.3 HEALTH AND SAFETY PROFESSIONAL <br /> The Regional Health and Safety Manager(RHSM)is responsible for: <br /> • Determining the need for periodic audits of the operation to evaluate compliance with this plan. <br /> • Providing health and safety support as requested by the SSO and PM. <br /> 3.4 PROJECT PERSONNEL <br /> Project personnel involved in on-site investigations and operations are responsible for: <br /> • Taking all reasonable precautions to prevent injury to themselves and to their fellow employees. <br /> • Adhering to the requirements of this HASP. <br /> • Performing only those tasks that they believe they can do safely, and immediately reporting any <br /> accidents and/or unsafe conditions to the SSO or PM. <br /> • Implementing the procedures set forth in the HASP, and reporting any deviations from the procedures <br /> described in the HASP to the SSO or PM for action. <br /> • Notifying the PM and SSO of any special medical problems (i.e., allergies) and seeing that all on-site <br /> URS personnel are aware of such problems. <br /> • Reviewing HASP and signing Safety Plan Compliance Agreement. <br /> ALL PROJECT PERSONNEL ARE RESPONSIBLE AND AUTHORIZED TO STOP AN <br /> ACTIVITY THAT POSES AN IMMINENT HAZARD TO LIFE,HEALTH,OR THE <br /> ENVIRONMENT AND TO REPORT THIS IMMEDIATELY TO THE SSO. <br /> TS AND SETTINGS\CLEIMBECH\DESKTOP\WORLD ENTERPRISES\WORK PLANS\WELL DESTRUCTION\ATTACHMENT C WORLD ENTERPRISES HSP TG EDITS.DOC\16- <br />
