2
I have put the extra testing requests below with comments about what we discussed or what I will
provide as a substitution.

1. Primary tank test of all three tanks in the split tank, in accordance with manufacturer specifications. –
No concern from Xerxes
2. Secondary containment tank test of the split tank (interstice testing), in accordance with
manufacturer specifications, prior to brine filling. – Please see attached Truchek documents as
proposed substitution testing.
3. Confirmation of interstice continuity for all three compartments in the split tank. – Prior to Truchek
Testing, Xerxes will install a small diameter riser in an end tank sump (see tank dwg 669-665 attached
for proposed sump). Based on the tank layout, pls advise if you would like to test the other shell or
compartment.
4. Secondary piping test: Pressure testing of all piping (product, vapor recovery, vent, and chase), in
accordance with manufacturer specifications. – Done by Petroleum Contractor
5. Integrity testing of all tank top sumps, in accordance with manufacturer specifications. – Done by
Petroleum Contractor
6. Verification of brine type and witnessing of brine addition in the split tank and tank top sumps. –
Removed original brine stored and re-used. Topped up with Xerxes factory supplied. Xerxes can
provide a letter or proof of shipping.

Also, I have attached a site plan with the compartments identified.

I have started a report on the findings and repairs done on this tank and expect to have it complete Aug
4th.

We would like to get your buy-in and approval on the above prior to scheduling the testing above with
your witness. Please advise as we are hoping to schedule this for mid to late next wk (July 30-Aug 1).

Regards,
Shelley Gibson
Product Engineer
Xerxes

Mobile: 780-887-8743
Shelley.Gibson@mattr.com
www.mattr.com | www.xerxes.com

1103 Parsons Road SW, Edmonton, Alberta, T6X 0X2, Canada

Xerxes places the highest priority on the security and privacy of our Clients.
