$ XE RXES 9
May 19, 2025—Confirmation of Seam Leak and Second Repair
• LDT returned with Xerxes crew to confirm the second breach location. The lower leak
location, identified on the previous diagram, wasconfirmed.
• The seam -related breach approximately 2 feet below the centerline on the outer tank
wal I was confi rmed.
• Xerxes repaired the leak by exposing the outer wall internally and performing a laminate
repair. The repair was a removal of the damaged material, replacement of the removed
outer wall material (-r0.1" ), replacement of the space fabric and a full thickness
replacement of the inner wall (--0.25" ). With the inner wall layer extending past the cut
area by a minimum of 3" . A photo of the finished repair was missed.
i
r
• %bsequent testing continued to show interstice pressure loss, indicating an additional
breach remained.
