Maintain a four foot minimum clear area around the <br />pool. Correct today. (REPEAT) <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: An unobstructed 4-foot wide deck of concrete or like material shall be provided and maintained flush with <br />the top of the pool coping. Deck shall extend completely around the pool and shall further extend 4 feet on both sides and to the rear of <br />any diving board, ADA device, or slide. (CBC 3114B) Pool operator shall keep the pool deck well maintained. (CCR 65535) <br />This is (Minor - Food) Violation. <br /> #8 Pool and Deck Lighting <br />OBSERVATIONS: Pool light is non-operational. Repair pool light so that it is in good working order. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pools used at night shall be equipped with underwater light fixtures that provide complete illumination of <br />the pool. When a pool is used at night, pool deck and emergency egress areas shall be provided with lighting. If underwater or deck <br />lighting is not operational, the pool operator shall post a sign in 4-inch letters stating "NO USE OF POOL ALLOWED AFTER DARK" and <br />shall secure the pool area and not permit any use of the pool after dark. (3115B) <br />This is (Minor - Food) Violation. <br /> #9 Ladders and Handrails <br />OBSERVATIONS: Both deep end hand rails were observed loose. Tighten hand rails today . <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: A means of entry and exit shall be provided at both the shallow and deep end of the pool. Ladders and <br />handrails shall be corrosion resistant and shall be rigidly installed. At least one handrail shall extend from the deck to not less than a <br />point above the top of the lowest step. Handrails shall be installed between 28 to 36 inches above the steps and deck. (CBC 3111B) <br />Pool operator shall keep ladders and handrails well maintained. (CCR 65535) <br />This is (Minor - Food) Violation. <br /> #22 Skimmer Assembly <br />OBSERVATIONS: A weir is lacking in the skimmer . Install all parts to the skimmer within one week. (REPEAT) <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool shall be equipped to provide continuous skimming of the pool water. All parts of the skimmer shall <br />be maintained in accordance with manufacturer specifications. (CBC 3136B) <br />This is (Minor - Food) Violation. <br /> #31 Disinfectant Feeders <br />OBSERVATIONS: Chlorine tablets were observed in the skimmer. Only feed chemicals automatically. Correct today. <br />(REPEAT) <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Each pool shall be provided with a system capable of continuous disinfection of the pool water. (CBC <br />3123B) Disinfectant feeders shall be capable of supplying not less than the equivalent of 3 pounds of 100 percent available chlorine <br />per day per 10,000 gallons of pool water.
