SAN JOAQUIN <br />COUNTY <br />Greatness grows here. <br />Environmental Health Department <br />NOTICE TO ABATE <br />FACILITY TYPE/NAME: VACANT LOT/ ACCIDENTAL RELEASE <br />SITE ADDRESS: 2407 JACKSON AVE. <br />RESPONSIBLE PARTY: NUNES DAIRY <br />CITY: ESCALON <br />TELEPHONE: <br />ZIP CODE: 95320 <br />595-2016 <br />TYPE OF X SPILL RESPONSE ❑ROUTINE ❑CONSULTATION PROGRAM RECORD ID#: <br />INSPECTION: ELEMENT: 2546 COQWLK91 J <br />NATURE OF COMPLAINT/VIOLATION: <br />Around 10:00am on 12/23/23 a semi -truck with <br />Nunes Dairywas struck by a passenger vehicle causing the release <br />of an estimated 75 gallons of diesel fuel, much <br />of which spilled onto the vacant property at 2407 Jackson Ave. <br />absorbent pads to collect as much of the spilled <br />diesel as possible. Due to diesel soaking into the soil, the contaminated <br />soil will need to be removed. In order to accomplish this safely, USA Dig was contacted by All Environmental to <br />conduct a survey for buried infrastructure. <br />OBSERVATIONS: <br />Immediately following the accident Nunes Dairy <br />contacted All Environmental Services LLC, to assess the situation and <br />perform a clean-up of the site. Before the arrival <br />of All Environmental, CakTrans clean-up crews used absorbent and <br />absorbent pads to collect as much of the spilled <br />diesel as possible. Due to diesel soaking into the soil, the contaminated <br />soil will need to be removed. In order to accomplish this safely, USA Dig was contacted by All Environmental to <br />conduct a survey for buried infrastructure. <br />VIOLATION: UNAUTHORIZED RELEASE (CA HEALTH <br />AND SAFETY CODE 25189.5) <br />CORRECTIVE ACTIONS/ORDER: <br />Work with the property owner to keep the site secure. Continue to cover the areas effected by the diesel fuel as to <br />limit the contamination of the soil, ground water, and environment in general. Remove the contamination as soon <br />as it can be done in a safe manner.
