All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />#4 Safety Equipment MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: The life hook is not attached to the pole. Permanently attach the life hook to the pole today to avoid <br />closure. <br />Corrected on site. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use. Pools shall have at <br />minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw <br />rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br />(CCR 65540) <br />#3 Safety Signs <br />OBSERVATIONS: The emergency signage lacks the name and address of the facility. Write in the name and address of <br />the facility on the signage today. Repeat violation. <br />The pool/spa hours are not listed on the signage. Write in the pool/spa hours on the signage today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535) Safety signs shall have clearly legible <br />letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall, pole, gate, or similar <br />permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified. (CBC 3120B) <br />#13 Cyanuric Acid Concentration <br />OBSERVATIONS: The cyanuric acid level in the pool is greater than 100 ppm. Reduce the CYA level to less than 100 ppm. <br />Repeat violation. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain cyanuric acid concentration between 0.0 ppm and 100 ppm.
