SAN JOAQUIN <br />—COUNTY— <br />Greorness vows her., <br />Environmental Health Department <br />Time In 9.35 am <br />Time Out: 10:20 am <br /> <br />Swimming Pool Official Inspection Report <br />Name of Facility: MUSD-SIERRA HIGH SCHOOL Date: 07/02/2020 <br />Address: 1700 THOMAS AVE, MANTECA 95336 <br />Owner/Operator: MANTECA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT Telephone: (209) 825-3200 <br />Program Element: 3616 - PUBLIC POOL/SPA - EXEMPT <br />Inspection Type: ROUTINE INSPECTION - Operating Permit <br />VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br />Items listed on this report as violations do not meet the requirements set forth in the California Health and Safety Code section(s) 116043, 116040, & <br />116050. All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />#3 Safety Signs <br />OBSERVATIONS: Capacity sign is not available. Provide capacity sign in 1 week. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535) Safety signs shall have clearly legible <br />letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall, pole, gate, or similar <br />permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified. (CBC 3120B) <br />#4 Safety Equipment <br />OBSERVATIONS: Life ring is locked. Provide life ring before pool opening. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use. Pools shall have at <br />minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw <br />rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br />(CCR 65540) <br />#7 Pool Deck <br />OBSERVATIONS: Couple of cracks are observed at the 3' 6" Depth. Seal cracks in 1 week. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: An unobstructed 4-foot wide deck of concrete or like material shall be provided and maintained flush with the <br />top of the pool coping. Deck shall extend completely around the pool and shall further extend 4 feet on both sides and to the rear of any <br />diving board, ADA device, or slide. (CBC 3114B) Pool operator shall keep the pool deck well maintained. (CCR 65535) <br />#8 Pool and Deck Lighting <br />OBSERVATIONS: I am not able to test lights and GFCI. As per maintenance personnel, 2 bulbs are off. Replaced bulbs in <br />1 week and make sure that all light fixtures and GFCI are working before pool opening. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pools used at night shall be equipped with underwater light fixtures that provide complete illumination of the <br />pool. When a pool is used at night, pool deck and emergency egress areas shall be provided with lighting. If underwater or deck lighting is <br />not operational, the pool operator shall post a sign in 4-inch letters stating "NO USE OF POOL ALLOWED AFTER DARK" and shall <br />secure the pool area and not permit any use of the pool after dark.
