All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />#10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: There is no chlorine in the pool. Immediately increase the free chlorine level to the range of 2.0 to 10.0 <br />ppm. MAJOR VIOLATION/CLOSURE CONDITION <br />The pool shall remain closed. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br />the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br />or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br />chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br />#12 pH Level <br /> MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: The pH level is greater than 8.0. Decrease the pH to the range of 7.2 to 7.8. MAJOR <br />VIOLATION/CLOSURE CONDITION. <br />The pool shall remain closed. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain pH between 7.2 and 7.8. (CCR 65530) <br />#29 Recirculation System Operation MAJOR <br />OBSERVATIONS: The pool pump is not turned on. Maintain the pump "on" during the pool's hours of operation. Correct <br />today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Recirculation system shall be in operation whenever the pool is available for use and additional times as <br />needed to maintain clear pool water. (CCR 65525) <br />#3 Safety Signs <br />OBSERVATIONS: The KEEP CLOSED sign is posted on the interior of the entrance gate. Move sign to the exterior side of <br />the gate. Correct by 1 week. <br />The facility name and address on the emergency signage is faded. Re-write in the facility name and address on the <br />emergency signage by 1 week. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535) Safety signs shall have clearly legible <br />letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall, pole, gate, or similar <br />permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified.
