All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. #1 Pool Gates OBSERVATIONS: Pool gate requires adjustment. Repair today. CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Gates and doors leading into the pool area shall be equipped with self-closing self-latching devices. Self-latching devices shall be designed to keep the gate or door securely closed. Gates and doors shall open outward from the pool area except where otherwise prohibited bylaw. (CBC 3119B) Pool operator shall keep gates and doors leading into the pool area well maintained. (OCR 65535) #8 Pool and Deck Lighting OBSERVATIONS: The light does not function. Repair by today. Label breakers and gfi for the pool light. Correct today. CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pools used at night shall be equipped with underwater light fixtures that provide complete illumination of the pool. When a pool is used at night, pool deck and emergency egress areas shall be provided with lighting. If underwater or deck lighting is not operational, the pool operator shall post a sign in 4-inch letters stating "NO USE OF POOL ALLOWED AFTER DARK" and shall secure the pool area and not permit any use of the pool after dark. (31158) #10 Disinfectant Residual OBSERVATIONS: Free chlorine at 0 ppm. Adjust free chlorine to between 2 ppm- 10 ppm. The manager added 1 gal. of 12 % available chlorine. CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine.
