All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public health <br />and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />#1 Pool Gates <br />OBSERVATIONS: Pool gate requires adjustment. Repair today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Gates and doors leading into the pool area shall be equipped with self-closing self-latching devices. <br />Self-latching devices shall be designed to keep the gate or door securely closed. Gates and doors shall open outward from the pool area <br />except where otherwise prohibited bylaw. (CBC 3119B) Pool operator shall keep gates and doors leading into the pool area well <br />maintained. (OCR 65535) <br />#8 Pool and Deck Lighting <br />OBSERVATIONS: The light does not function. Repair by today. Label breakers and gfi for the pool light. Correct today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pools used at night shall be equipped with underwater light fixtures that provide complete illumination of the <br />pool. When a pool is used at night, pool deck and emergency egress areas shall be provided with lighting. If underwater or deck lighting is <br />not operational, the pool operator shall post a sign in 4-inch letters stating "NO USE OF POOL ALLOWED AFTER DARK" and shall <br />secure the pool area and not permit any use of the pool after dark. (31158) <br />#10 Disinfectant Residual <br />OBSERVATIONS: Free chlorine at 0 ppm. Adjust free chlorine to between 2 ppm- 10 ppm. The manager added 1 gal. of 12 <br />% available chlorine. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br />the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br />or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br />chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (OCR 65529) <br />#27 Pool Equipment Room <br />OBSERVATIONS: Pool room is not maintained. Room must be maintained. Correct today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall keep ancillary facilities well maintained. (OCR 65535) All filters, valves, pumps, strainers <br />and equipment shall be readily accessible for repair and replacement.
