All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public <br />health and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual <br />OBSERVATIONS: The chlorine level of the spa is 18.0ppm. Immediately take action to reduce the chlorine level of the spa to <br />the range of 3.0-10.0ppm. <br />Neutralizer added. Waited 5-7 minutes: re-check 13.5ppm <br />The spa shall remain closed for an hour to allow the neutralizer to finish distributing. Check the spa chlorine level and OK to <br />re-open if the chlorine level is 3.0-10.0ppm. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall <br />maintain the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with <br />cyanuric acid or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to <br />10.0 ppm free chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine.
