Environmental Health Department <br />Facility Name and Address: TRACY GARDENS APARTMENTS, 2926 N TRACY BLVD, TRACY 95376 <br />Swimming Pool Official Inspection Report <br /> #4 Safety Equipment <br />OBSERVATIONS: The throw rope attached to the life ring is fraying and the life ring is deteriorating. Obtain a new throw rope <br />(the length shall be at least as long as the width of the pool) by two days. <br />***A life ring (in better condition) lacks a throw rope. Obtain a throw rope for this life ring (and discard the older deteriorating life <br />ring). <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use. Pools shall have at <br />minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw <br />rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br />(CCR 65540) <br />This is (Minor - Food) Violation. <br /> #8 Pool and Deck Lighting <br />OBSERVATIONS: One of the pool lights (deep end) is not functioning. Repair/replace the pool light by two weeks . <br />Repeat violation. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pools used at night shall be equipped with underwater light fixtures that provide complete illumination of <br />the pool. When a pool is used at night, pool deck and emergency egress areas shall be provided with lighting. If underwater or deck <br />lighting is not operational, the pool operator shall post a sign in 4-inch letters stating "NO USE OF POOL ALLOWED AFTER DARK" and <br />shall secure the pool area and not permit any use of the pool after dark. (3115B) <br />This is (Minor - Food) Violation. <br /> #18 Pool Shell and Tile <br />OBSERVATIONS: Some of the fiberglass covering has come up from the top pool entrance step (shallow end). This area was <br />patched by pool service person in early July and a pool user has peeled the patched area material off . Re-patch this area by 2 <br />weeks. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool shells shall be white and have a smooth waterproof interior finish that will withstand repeated <br />brushing, and scrubbing. A spa pool may be finished in a light color other than white when approved by the enforcement agency.
