All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public <br />health and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual <br />OBSERVATIONS: The chlorine level of the pool is 0.0ppm. Immediately increase the chlorine level of the pool to the range of <br />1.0 to 10.0ppm or face closure. <br />2 gallons of liquid chlorine were added. Re-checked chlorine level is 8.8ppm <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall <br />maintain the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with <br />cyanuric acid or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to <br />10.0 ppm free chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br />This is (Major) Violation. <br />MAJOR <br /> #9 Ladders and Handrails <br />OBSERVATIONS: The railing at the shallow end of the pool is loose. <br />The railing was tightened up a little bit, but remains loose. <br />Tighten the railing to sturdy by 1 week. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: A means of entry and exit shall be provided at both the shallow and deep end of the pool. Ladders and <br />handrails shall be corrosion resistant and shall be rigidly installed. At least one handrail shall extend from the deck to not less than a <br />point above the top of the lowest step. Handrails shall be installed between 28 to 36 inches above the steps and deck. (CBC 3111B) <br />Pool operator shall keep ladders and handrails well maintained. (CCR 65535) <br />This is (Minor - Food) Violation. <br /> #22 Skimmer Assembly <br />OBSERVATIONS: Both skimmers lack weir doors. Properly install weir doors by 2 weeks. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool shall be equipped to provide continuous skimming of the pool water. All parts of the skimmer shall <br />be maintained in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
