All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public <br />health and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual <br />OBSERVATIONS: The chlorine of the pool is 11.5ppm. Take immediate action to reduce the chlorine level of the pool to the <br />range of 2.0 to 10.0ppm. <br />Per manager, the pool shall remain closed until at least 4pm today. She will re-check the chlorine to ensure it is in range. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall <br />maintain the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with <br />cyanuric acid or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to <br />10.0 ppm free chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br />This is (Major) Violation. <br />MAJOR <br /> #12 pH Level <br />OBSERVATIONS: The pH of the pool is greater than 8.0. Take immediate action to reduce the pH of the pool to the range of <br />7.2 to 7.8. <br />An acid demand was done for the pH. 1.15 quarts of muriatic acid is needed to bring the pH down to 7.6 to 7.8. <br />Pool shall remain closed until proof of correction is received by inspector. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain pH between 7.2 and 7.8.
