Confined Spaces <br />A confined space is defined as (1) A space large enough and so configured that a worker can <br />bodily enter and perform assigned work, (2) Has limited or restricted means for entry or exit <br />(i.e., tanks, vessels, silos, storage bins, hoppers, faults, culverts, and pits); and, (3) Is not <br />designed for continuous personnel occupancy. <br />It is anticipated confined spaces will not be entered by field personnel conducting <br />construction activities. Site workers shall strictly follow the contractors Standard Operating <br />Procedures pertaining to confined space and permit required confined space entry. <br />
