HSC 118280 - Biohazard bags shall be containerized and stored pursuant to this section. <br /> OBSERVATIONS: <br /> Chemotherapy waste was stored in the accumulation area for longer than 30 days. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTIONS: <br /> A person who generates 20 or more pounds of chemotherapy waste per month shall not contain or store that waste above 32 F <br /> onsite for more than 7 days.A person who generates less than 20 pounds of chemotherapy waste per month shall not contain or <br /> store that waste above 32 F onsite for more than 30 days. Ensure chemotherapy waste is picked up by the hauler once every 30 <br /> days. If there is no chemotherapy waste,then ensure it is documented. <br /> Correct all violations and provide evidence of correction to the EHD <br /> by October 9, 2024. <br /> NOTES: <br /> 1. Inspection report emailed to following operators: Nikolas Corren (Nikolas.Corren(cDcdcr.ca.goy), Patrick Brown <br /> (Pat.Brown(cDcdcr.ca.gov), Kevin Hendrick (Kevin.Hendrick(cDcdcr.ca.gov), Gelix Vicuna (Gel ix.Vicuna(a)-cdcr.ca.gov) and Mark <br /> Whisler(Mark.Whisler(cDcdcr.ca.gov). <br /> 2. Treatment and tracking records were available for review. <br /> 3. Pharmaceutical and chemotherapy waste are picked up by Med-Waste. Biohazard and sharps waste are autoclaved. <br /> 4.An updated Medical Waste Management Plan was provided to the EHD. <br /> 5. Reinspection was conducted at the warehouse and MUT-AB. <br /> 6. Ensure the lids of biohazard, sharps, pharmaceutical and chemotherapy waste containers are securely closed with tight-fitting <br /> lids. <br /> Reinspecion on/about: A reinspection fee of$172 per hour may be charged.
