ICES <br /> October 2, 2022 ICES 9315 <br /> PRELIMINARY SITE INVESTIGATION <br /> KAUTZ PROPERTY <br /> LOCKEFORD, CALIFORNIA <br /> 1 .0 INTRODUCTION <br /> This report presents the findings of the Preliminary Site <br /> Investigation that was conducted by Innovative and Creative <br /> Environmental Solutions (ICES) at the Kautz Property located in <br /> Lockeford, California. ("the Site"; Figure 1) . <br /> The purpose of the preliminary sampling activities was to assess <br /> the potential presence of organochlorine pesticides, arsenic, lead, <br /> and mercury within the surficial soil that were associated with <br /> former agricultural activities . <br /> 2 .0 SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The Site is located south of Highway 88 and is within the legal <br /> jurisdiction of Lockeford, in conjunction with San Joaquin County <br /> and the State of California. The Site is identified by the San <br /> Joaquin County Assessor' s Office as Assessor Parcel Numbers <br /> 019-110-130-000, 019-110-140-000, 019-110-170-000, <br /> 019-110-160-000, 019-060-090-000, and 019-060-100-000 . <br /> The Site consists of six contiguous parcels covering an area of <br /> approximately 105 . 11 acres . The Site is currently vacant and <br /> undeveloped. <br /> 3. 0 BACKGROUND <br /> The Site had been used for agricultural applications since 1937 and <br /> was most recently planted with grapevines . The vineyard is <br /> currently abandoned with dried grapevines remaining on the rows of <br /> trellises . <br /> - 1 - <br />
