/0'L'l'i",OUNGD~~HL 1234 Glenhaven Court,EI Dorado Hills,CA 95762 c· <br />~f'H 916933.0633 P:916.933.6482 !25 1 <br />~~~C~O~N~S~U~~~T~IN~G~G~R_O_U~P,~I_N_C_.\~~ <br />EXPERIENCE &INTEGRITY YOU CAN BUILD ON www.youngdahl.net 0-(~.,,- <br />Mr.Gregory Dhillon <br />P.O.Box 503 <br />Thornton.CA 95686 <br />Project No.E09041.000 <br />14 July 2009 <br />Subject:N.NEW HOPE ROAD (27300 <br />Thornton.San Joaquin County.California <br />Septic Feasibility Study and Design <br />References:1.Manual of Septic-Tank Practice.U.S.Dept.of Health.Education.and <br />Welfare.1957. <br />2.San Joaquin Onsite Wastewater Disposal Standards.San Joaquin <br />Environmental Health Department.October 2003. <br />3.Executed Contract for N.New Hope Road (27300).prepared by Youngdahl <br />Consulting Group.Inc ..dated 11 February 2009. <br />Dear Mr.Dhillon: <br />With your authorization.Youngdahl Consulting Group,Inc.(YCG)has completed a Septic <br />Feasibility Study and Design for the planned residential construction at 27300 North New Hope <br />Road in Thornton.San Joaquin County.California (Figure 1 -Vicinity Map).The purpose of the <br />study was to determine whether onsite septic disposal was feasible for the proposed single- <br />family residential construction and to design a septic system based on percolation test results. <br />Building and/or grading plans were not provided to us at the time of our study for review.but we <br />understand that the proposed construction will consist of a four bedroom single-family <br />residence.We have prepared a site plan to document the approximate location of proposed <br />construction elements (Figure 2 -Site Plan).The scope of this study included the excavation of <br />two test pits and performing one (1)leach pit percolation test in the proposed disposal area. <br />This study was conducted with adherence to the San Joaquin County.Environmental Health <br />Department guidelines (Reference 2). <br />Site Description <br />The site is currently irrigated land used for agricultural purposes.The site is irregular in shape <br />and encompasses approximately 9 acres (Figure 2.Site Plan).The site is bounded to the north <br />and east by the Mokelumne River.to the west by N.New Hope Road and the Thornton County <br />Service Area 12 Storm Wat~r Facility.and to the south by other croplands and rural housing. <br />Ground elevation is approximately 15 feet above mean sea level (MSL).A levee approximately <br />15 to 20 in overall height exists along the north property line.adjacent to the Mokelumne River. <br />Development on the subject property includes irrigation distribution pipe throughout the parcel <br />and a small garage.abandoned mobile home and existing residence in the southwest corner of <br />the site.Potable water onsite is provided by a well is located approximately 40 feet east of the <br />existing residence.Site irrigation is provided by water pumped from the Mokelumne River. <br />Various young and mature trees line the west and northern boundaries of the parcel.The site <br />appears to drain by sheetflow from the northwest to southeast. <br />Geology <br />The site is located within the Great Valley geomorphic province of California.This province is <br />underlain by Cretaceous.Tertiary and Quaternary age sediments which may exceed 6.500 feet <br />in thickness in the north San Joaquin County area.Based on the Natural Resource <br />Conservation Service Web Soil Survey.it appears the site location is underlain by Pleistocene- <br />aged alluvial deposits derived from mixed rock sources.
