Contact the local fire district, the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District, and the local <br /> community development department for any applicable permits and requirements. <br /> 2. Any changes in information and scope of work must be submitted to EHD for written approval <br /> prior to commencing work. All new submittals supersede previous ones. <br /> 3. Email notification to ust(cD-sigov.org to arrange the following inspection appointments. <br /> All appointments must be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance. <br /> a. Corrosion protection on soap tank: Verify corrosion protection for direct bury spill bucket <br /> and riser prior to backfilling. <br /> b. Spill bucket test on soap tank and waste oil tank: Verify minimum 5-gallon capacity. Pass <br /> a one hour hydrostatic test (or equivalent). Verify proper drainage method. <br /> c. Verification of overfill prevention on soap tank and waste oil tank: Measurement of drop <br /> tubes to verify 95% tank volume shut off. Ensure that all pertinent tank charts and <br /> calculations are available for review at the time of inspection. <br /> d. Verification that ball float(s) on soap tank and waste oil tank, if installed, do not interfere <br /> with the installed flapper valve. <br /> e. Since concrete will be broken near the soap tank, a secondary containment test must <br /> be performed on the soap tank once concrete is poured, in accordance with the <br /> manufacturer's guidelines. <br /> The facility cannot operate the soap tank or waste oil UST system or receive soap in the <br /> soap tank or waste oil in the waste oil tank prior to the EHD inspection and approval. <br /> 1868 E.
