Use Safety Data Sheets(SIDS),waste sampling and test <br /> results or other knowledge to support your hazardous waste determination. Waste testing must be done using <br /> methods specified in Title 22 CCR including sections 66261.20-24. Submit a statement and supporting <br /> documentation with your hazardous waste determination. <br /> This is (Class 2)Violation. <br /> 26 CA Code of Regulations 66262.34(d)(2)3030017-Containers of hazardous waste closed except when adding or <br /> removing waste. <br /> OBSERVATION:The following open hazardous waste storage container was observed in the shop: <br /> -One blue 55 gallon steel drum containing paper filters/oily debris(full)was overfilled and the lid was setting on top of <br /> the filters. <br /> -One blue 55 gallon steel drum containing paper filters/oily debris was missing a ring to keep it locked. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:A container holding hazardous waste shall always be closed during transfer and storage, <br /> except when it is necessary to add or remove waste. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: The violation was corrected on site. The drums were hauled off and disposed of as <br /> hazardous waste during the inspection. <br /> This is a repeat violation (Class 2) Violation. <br /> 38 CA Code of Regulations 66266.130 3030004- Properly manages used oil filters and fuel filters. <br /> OBSERVATION: A container of used metal oil or fuel filters out of compliance with the storage rules were observed <br /> on-site. <br /> In the shop, one black 55 gallon drum containing used oil metal filters had an incorrect accumulation start date and <br /> was open. The drum was missing a ring to keep it closed. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: Title 22 California Code of Regulations section 66266.130 Management of Used Oil <br /> Filters. California Health&Safety Code section 25250.22 Fuel Filters <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: The violation was corrected on site. The drum was hauled off and disposed of during the <br /> inspection. <br /> This is a repeat violation (Class 2) Violation. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br /> documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br /> paperwork, by February 12, 2025. <br /> To minimize person to person contact EHD is choosing to write the name of person receiving the report instead of <br /> having them sign.
