SAN J OA Q U I Environmental Health Department <br /> COU NTY. -- <br /> 4, Any individual installing underground storage systems or components must possess, or work <br /> under the direct and personal aupervision of an individual physlca#y,aresenf at the work site at <br /> a€1 times while work is being performed who possesses, all of the following: <br /> One of several permissible valid, current contractor licenses issued by the Contractors <br /> State License Board (CSLB) <br /> • A current UST Installation/Retrofitting certificate issued by the International Code Council <br /> (ICC) <br /> • A valid, current certificate of training from the manufacturer(s) of the component(s) being <br /> installed <br /> 5_ Individuals working under the direct supervision of a qualified UST installer or UST service <br /> technician must, at a minimum, be employed by the person with the CSLB license and possess <br /> all manufacturer certificates of training for the equipment on which they are working, <br /> e. The tank owner or operator shall log into the California Environmental Reporting System <br /> (CERS) at http'flcers.caIepa.ca.govl and ensure all UST information is current. <br /> 7. The tank owner or operator shall log into CARS and cornp[ete and submit a UST Certification of <br /> InstaIlationfMadification for the 87 tank within 30 days. <br /> 8. All primary containment ineludmg any integral secondary containment rnuat be certified by an <br /> independent testing organization and labeled as required by the organization (UL, ULG, ANSI, <br /> API. ASTM, etc.). See California Code of Regu€ations (CCR) Title 23, Chapter 16, Table B for a <br /> complete list. <br /> 9. All secondary containment system which is not an integral part of the pr€mary containment shall <br /> be designed and constructed according to an engineering specification approved by a state <br /> registered professional engineer or according to a nationally recognized industry code or <br /> engineering standard, per CC R 2. 31(d). <br /> 10. This permit expires 180 days from the date of approval.
