Individuals installing underground storage tank system components must possess or work under the direct and personal supervision of an individual physically present at the work site who possesses all of the following: f. A valid, current contractor's license issued by the Contractors State License Board g. A valid, current UST Installation/Retrofitting certificate issued by the International Code Council ([CC) h. A valid, current certificate of training from the manufacturer(s) of the component(s) being installed 6. Individuals working under the direct supervision of a qualified UST installer or UST service technician must, at a minimum, be employed by the person with the CSLB license and possess all manufacturer certificates of training for the equipment on which they are working. 7. The tank owner or operator shall log into the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS) at http://cers.calepa.ca.gov/ and ensure all UST information is current. 8. All components must be certified by an independent testing organization and labeled as required by the organization (UL, ULC, ANSI, API, ASTM, etc.). See California Code of Regulations (CCR) Title 23, Chapter 16, Table B for a complete list. 9. Permit expires 180 days from the date of approval. If an extension to the expiration date is required, a written request must be submitted to ust(@-sigov.orq prior to the expiration date. 10. Failure to comply with the listed conditions may result in additional fees or violations. 11. Additional inspections may be conducted by the EHD. Any additional time spent will be billed to the applicant at the current EHD hourly rate ($172).
