REMEMBER in most situations to <br /> keep you and yours safe during an <br /> offsite HazMat release or accident <br /> immediately do the following: <br /> Evacuate the immediate vicinity/area: <br /> - 330 feet in all directions move laterally then upwind <br /> unless the Guide or ERG TIH Tables say you can be closer. <br /> - Keep unauthorized personnel away. <br /> - Stay upwind, uphill and or upstream <br /> - Watch for wind shifts. <br /> - Keep out of low areas. <br /> - Fires involving flammables in pressurized vessels — <br /> Isolate for 1 mi. in all directions and consider evacuation <br /> for 1 mi. <br /> If not safe to evacuate "Shelter-In-Place" <br />
