Active Groundwater Sampling Standard Operating Procedure <br /> SWE-FSOP-401;Revision 1 Ahtna Southwest Environmental Operations <br /> Sampling Devices <br /> • Bailer <br /> • Bladder Pump and associated controller <br /> • Peristaltic Pump <br /> • Submersible Pump <br /> [PFAS Projects]: Surfaces in contact with the sampled media (e.g., bailers) should not <br /> contain Teflon® or other PFAS-containing material. <br /> Other Equipment/Supplies <br /> • Chain of custody forms and custody seals <br /> • Clean cooler <br /> • Decontamination equipment including soap (i.e., LiquinoxTM), de-ionized and tap water <br /> • Electronic water level meter such as the Solinst Model 101 or equivalent <br /> • Waterproof, indelible pens/markers in black or blue ink <br /> [PFAS Project]: Use ball-point pens. Do not use markers,felt pens, or pens with water <br /> resistant ink. <br /> • Field logbook <br /> [PFAS Project]: Field logbook made of standard/loose plain paper(non-weatherproof), held <br /> together by an aluminum or Masonite field clipboard.Alternatively, a spiral-bound <br /> notebook with non-weatherproof paper and/or cover can be used. <br /> • Field forms <br /> [PFAS Project]: Record of field events will be maintained on loose paper (PFAS-free) secured <br /> on Masonite or aluminum clipboards. Plastic clipboards, binders, or spiral hard cover <br /> notebooks are not acceptable.
