Service
Station
Systems, Inc.
May 12, 2025
Attn: Inspector Lynsey Sammons
This letter is in response to a Notice to Violation that Safeway received regarding a missing
Verification Monitor System Certification from April of 2024.
Our system has been programmed to flag our Permit Department when a Sensor is sold in
the San Joaquin Co Env Health District. It was specifically designed so that we did Not miss
the Notifications to your District for Non Permitted items.Your CUPA is the only one where
this particular system is in place and it's worked for many years now.
In this instance, the system sent out the required notification internally, however, this was
for a Part Sale and Not an actual installation.
There was a communication breakdown between systems so we'll be looking into this to
use as a Training Tool
We apologize to both you and Safeway for the additional research and communications
this has incurred.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
Thank You
Debbie Watts—Compliance Mgr—408-938-7113 (Debbie@servicestationsystems.com)
Service Station Systems, Inc—680 Quinn Ave., San Jose, CA 95112
