Alert the transfer operator when the tank is 90 percent full by restricting the flow into the tank or triggering an audible and
visual alarm; or
2. Restrict delivery of flow to the tank at least 30 minutes before the tank overfills, provided the restriction occurs when the tank
is filled to no more than 95 percent of capacity; and activate an audible alarm at least five minutes before the tank overfills; or
3. Provide positive shut-off of flow to the tank when the tank is filled to no more than 95 percent of capacity; or,
4. Provide positive shut-off of flow to the tank so that none of the fittings located on the top of the tank are exposed to product
due to overfilling.
CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately contact a properly licensed, trained, and certified contractor to install an approved overfill
prevention system. If an approved overfill prevention system can't
be installed immediately, there is a possibility that the waste oil UST system may be red tagged to prevent fuel inputs.
This is Repeated (Class 2)Violation.
OVERALL NOTES AND COMMENTS
Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement documenting the
corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting paperwork, by September 24, 2025.
To minimize person to person contact EHD is choosing to write the name of person receiving the report instead of having
them sign.
