Helebir, R.S., MPH, Director <br />Environmental Health Division <br />On May 26, 1978, Well Permit i?73-798 was issued to Noack Pumps for installation <br />of a public well at 2300 E. Eight Mile Road* San Joaquin County Ordinance No. <br />1862 requires that the annular space, between the well casing and the wall of <br />the drilled well, be orouted to a minimum depth of fifty feet. Noack Pumps <br />stated in their signed permit that "I will call for a grout inspection prior <br />to grouting and final inspection.'.' <br />The San Joaquin Local Health District was not notified of the grouting of the <br />well, and no inspection of the acceptability of the extent of grouting was con­ <br />ducted. A follow-up field inspection revealed an acceptable surface seal.
