All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public <br />health and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual <br />OBSERVATIONS: The spa's free chlorine was observed at 1 PPM. Adjust to 3 PPM to 10 PPM prior to operation. Keep the <br />spa closed until the corrections are verified by this department. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall <br />maintain the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with <br />cyanuric acid or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations: 3.0 ppm to <br />10.0 ppm free chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br />This is (Major) Violation. <br />MAJOR <br /> #12 pH Level <br />OBSERVATIONS: The spa's pH was observed at less than 7.0 pH. Adjust the pH level to 7.2 - 7.8 prior to operation. Keep the <br />spa closed until the pH has been verified by this department. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall maintain pH between 7.2 and 7.8. (CCR 65530) <br />This is (Major) Violation. <br />MAJOR <br /> #38 Filter Cleaning and Maintenance <br />OBSERVATIONS: The influent and effluent meters are currently reading at a difference of 10 psi or more. Clean and backwash <br />filtration system to ensure proper function. Correct within seven days. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: All filters shall be maintained in accordance with manufacturer's specifications. (CBC 3123B) Pressure <br />gauge located on the filter shall be marked with the clean startup reading. (CBC 3125B) Each filter vessel shall be provided with valves <br />so that it can be isolated from the recirculation system for repairs and backwashing.
