Any individual performing the work of a service technician must possess, or work under the direct and personal supervision of an individual physically present at the work site at all times while work is being performed who possesses, all of the following: • One of several permissible valid, current contractor licenses issued by the CSLB • A current California UST Service Technician certificate issued by the ICC • A valid, current certificate of training from the manufacturer(s) of the component(s) being tested, or the developer of the testing equipment or test method(s) being used 6. Individuals working under the direct supervision of a qualified UST installer or UST service technician must, at a minimum, be employed by the person with the CSLB license and possess all manufacturer certificates of training for the equipment on which they are working. 7. The tank owner or operator shall log into the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS) at http://cers.calepa.ca.gov/ and ensure all UST information is current. 8. All secondary containment system which is not an integral part of the primary containment shall be designed and constructed according to an engineering specification approved by a state registered professional engineer or according to a nationally recognized industry code or engineering standard, per CCR 2631(d). 9. This permit expires 180 days from the date of approval. If an extension to the expiration date is required, a written request must be submitted to ust(@)-sogov.orq prior to the expiration date.
