Brusca
Associates, Inc.
Environmental Engineering Geology
December 20, 2023
Murphy Austin Adams Schoenfeld LLP
Attention: Russell Austin
555 Capitol Mall, Suite 850
Sacramento, CA 95814
WORKPLAN
INSTALLATION OF GROUNDWATER MONITORING WELLS
ANDERSON BARNGROVER RANCH PROPERTY
APN 091-030-130
14290 East Comstock Road
Linden, San Joaquin County, California
Brusca Reference No. 260-004
INTRODUCTION
In accordance with your request, we have prepared this Workplan for the installation of a
network of groundwater monitoring wells to further evaluate groundwater impacts attributable to
a former approximate 1,000-gallon diesel underground storage tank (UST) that was removed
from the subject property in November 2022. The requirements for submittal a Workplan for
additional site assessment and groundwater monitoring wells installation were presented in a
letter by the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) dated
December 12, 2023.1 The purpose of the planned groundwater monitoring wells is to evaluate
the groundwater flow direction, plume stability, the extent of the plume to the west, and whether
non-aqueous phase liquid (NAPL) is present. This Workplan presents a description of the
planned groundwater monitoring well installation and initial sampling activities. This Workplan
will be submitted to the CVRWQCB for review and approval prior to implementing the work.
A Vicinity Map showing the location of the subject property is presented as Plate 1. A Site Map
showing the layout of the entire subject parcel with respect to nearby roadways is presented as
Plate 2. A map showing the onsite farm facility where the UST was formerly located along with
past boring locations is presented as Plate 3. The inferred configuration of the diesel
groundwater plume along with the locations of the planned groundwater monitoring wells is
presented as Plate 4.
1 CVRWQCB; "Closure Denial and Request for Additional Assessment, Anderson-Barngrover Ranch, 14290 East
Comstock Road,Linden, San Joaquin County;Case#292009, Global ID#T10000020864";December 12,2023.
BruscaAssociates.com 9 P.O.Box 332,Roseville, CA 95661 9 Phone(916)677-1470
