Page 5
December 20,2023
Brusca File No. 260-004 Groundwater Monitoring Wells Workplan
diesel, and motor oil-range petroleum hydrocarbons by EPA Method 8015B and volatile organic
compounds (VOCs) by EPA Method 8260B, including the fuel oxygenate MTBE. Internal
laboratory QA/QC data will be presented along with the laboratory report.
REPORT
Following the installation of the groundwater monitoring wells, initial groundwater sampling,
and the analytical testing, we will prepare a summary report which will include: descriptions of
our procedures and observations; scaled site plan drawings; monitoring well logs; the laboratory
data; survey data; the calculated groundwater flow direction; discussion regarding the results;
and, the signature and stamp of the Professional Geologist in charge of the project. The report
will be submitted to the CVRWQCB and will be uploaded to the State Water Resources Control
Board's GeoTracker database.
As indicated earlier in this Workplan, an objective of monitoring well MW3 is to evaluate/define
the westerly extent of the diesel groundwater plume as required by the CVRWQCB. In the event
that groundwater data from MW3 are not sufficient to define westerly extent of the plume (e.g.,
if groundwater from MW3 exhibits an elevated concentration petroleum hydrocarbons), our
report will include a description of a planned step out boring further to the west for additional
groundwater sampling for plume definition.
CLOSING
This Workplan will be submitted to the CVRWQCB for review and comment prior to
implementing the work. Additionally, we will upload this document to the State Water
Resources Control Board's GeoTracker database system.
If you have any questions or require additional information, please contact the undersigned at
(916) 677-1470.
Sincerely,
BRUSCA ASSOCIATES, INC.
arc ,1DSFPH
gFiL1SCA
CE3T1rIE4
ENGiNEERI G
Jo Brusca
u^T GEOLOGIST 7
r* cipal Engineering Geologist " OF CAF'-
ertified Engineering Geologist No. 1948
Attachments: Plate 1, Vicinity Map
Plate 2, Site Map
Plate 3,Farm Facility Map
Plate 4,Planned Groundwater Monitoring Well Locations
