Site Type <br />Surrounding Land Use and Topography <br />Simultaneous Operations (SimOps) <br />Site Background <br />Site background information is located in the work plan. <br />The surrounding area is primarily rural farm land and agricultural plots. To the north of the landfill <br />and the east of the residentiual property there is a prison with associated security. <br />The correction facility has a controled unit for adult inmates and a former facility that is currently <br />closed. <br />Landfill <br />Planned Arcadis site work will typically not be in proximity to SimOps work activities performed by <br />non Arcadis employees or subcontractors. However, access to some portions of the landfill and/or <br />when transporting waste will be on haul roads with associated heavy machinery and landfill traffic. <br />Arcadis will initiate stop work and evaluate the work activities through the JSA process if during the <br />course of work a SimOps activity is identified that could reasonably affect health and safety of <br />Arcadis employees and subcontractors. <br />The primary site is the active Republic Services Landfill, with VOC groundwater impacts primarilty <br />relating to PCE and TCE. The project has extended off-site to an adjacent, residential properties, <br />with PCEand TCE impacts. Also additional project location is located inside the grounds of an <br />active correctional facility (CDCR), with carbon tetrachloride, chloroform and PCE and TCE <br />groundwater impacts. <br />There is limited or no information on the activities performed at this project site (both currently and <br />historically).
