Geosyntec consultants Geosyntec HSE Procedures referenced herein are available on Geosyntec's HSE SharePoint site TASK HAZARD ANALYSIS and should be consulted,as appropriate,to ensure requirements are met.This THA has been (ver.4.0,9-8.2023) prepared per"HSE STD-105.Project Safety Management Handbook' Part A - PROJECT/TASK INFORMATION Project/Site Name: GSH Stockton Phytoremediation System Project Number/Org: TR0712/Org.8130 Site Address: 1904 West Charter Way,Stockton,California Task&Worksite Destruction of damaged monitoring wells and installation and development of new replacement monitoring wells. Description: Monitoring wells MW-5B and MW-7B will be destroyed by over-drilling to remove well construction material within the original borehole,after which the created hole will be filled completely with appropriate sealing material,consistent with standards presented in the San Joaquin County standards.Two new monitoring wells,MW-5C and MW-7C,will be installed as replacements for wells MW-513 and MW-70,respectively,within 15 feet of the original well that will be destroyed.Each of the two new monitoring wells will be constructed in the same general configuration as the well it is intended to replace(i.e.,same terminal depths,diameter,well screen,casing,and screened intervals);however, terminal depths and screen elevations may be adjusted by Geosyntec based on observations made during borehole advancement and results of continuous soil sampling.Once installation is complete,both new wells will be developed by a combination of bailing,surging,and pumping which will serve to stabilize the filter pack and remove fines from the filter pack and well screen.All drill cuttings and development/purge water will be containerized in new 55-gallon steel drums for off-Site disposal.
