North County Recycling Center and Sanitary Landfill Permit Revision Project
Final Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration · San Joaquin County | May 2025
8

3.3 Project-Related Approvals, Agreements, and Permits
This IS/MND has been prepared by the County to evaluate the proposed project, which consists
of a revision of the existing solid waste facility permit to allow an increase to the maximum
permitted daily tonnage and traffic volume. In order to assess the likely environmental
consequences of the project, this IS/MND evaluates the increase in truck volume, employee trips,
and maximum tonnage. In the future, if additional modifications to the permit are proposed, the
County would review additional activities not discussed in this document and render a
determination as to whether additional CEQA analysis is necessary.
3.3.1 San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
• Solid Waste Facility Permit Revision
Additional approvals by the County and, potentially, other agencies, would be required for future
SWFP amendments or revisions associated with the project site. Such approvals may include an
updated stormwater control plan.
