All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public <br /> health and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual MAJC <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The chlorine level of the spa is too high: 11.6 ppm. Immediately reduce the chlorine level of the spa to the <br /> range of 3.0 to 10.Oppm or face closure. <br /> Corrected on site; neutralizer added: chlorine level re-checked at 10.5ppm (will continue to drop a bit). <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Public pools,when open or in use,shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall <br /> maintain the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid,2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with <br /> cyanuric acid or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas,wading pools,and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations:3.0 ppm to <br /> 10.0 ppm free chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. Take action to reduce the cya level to 100ppm or <br /> less.
