(Rincon) has prepared this Workplan in conjunction with our
Soil Boring Permit Applications to obtain a soil boring permit for the property located at 1320 West
Weber Avenue in Stockton, California (site). The s Assessor's Parcel Numbers (APNs) for the site are 145-
190-120, -130, -140, and -150. However, it is understood by Rincon that APN 154-190-150 is not
accessible for this scope of work. In addition, no soil borings will be advanced on APN 145-190-140. The
subject property is currently developed with two industrial buildings and associated structures used for
cold storage.
Rincon presents the following scope of work to advance nine borings to varying depths onsite, and
collect soil, soil vapor and groundwater samples:
Scope of Work
Task 1 Pre-field Activities
■ Mark-outs and Underground Service Alert Notification: Rincon will conduct a site visit to perform
soil boring mark-outs and notify Underground Service Alert (USA). Per California State Law, field
work may not commence less than two full working days after notification. USA identifies known
utility locations in the public right-of-way.
■ Health & Safety Plan: Rincon will prepare a Health & Safety Plan (HASP) to outline the procedures
that Rincon's personnel will follow to minimize the potential for health and safety hazards during
the course of work to be performed at the site. The need for this plan is mandated by Federal Law.
■ Permits: Rincon will obtain drilling permits from the SJCEHD prior to work start.
Task 2 Field Activities
■ Geophysical Survey: Prior to mobilization to the field, Rincon will subcontract a private utility
locating service to identify subgrade utilities within the vicinity of the proposed soil sample
locations. All subgrade utilities detected within a 10-foot radius of proposed boring locations will be
E n v i r o n m e n t a l S c i e n t i s t s P l a n n e r s E n g i n e e r s
