Assess Analyze A <br /> 'JOB STEPS I POTENTIAL HAZARDS 3CRITICAL A S <br /> 2b. FALL: 2b. Look where you are walking to identify and avoid slip/trip/fall <br /> Slip/Trip/Fall hazards. Avoid icy and/or wet surfaces. Remove obstacles if <br /> possible. <br /> 2b. Use designated walkways during spotting whenever possible. <br /> 2b. Do not walk backwards. Always face the direction towards <br /> which you are walking. <br /> 2c. CAUGHT: 2c.Maintain EZ. Do not stand between large,loose,or fixed objects <br /> Caught between machinery and or structures and the machinery while it is in motion. Keep the <br /> nearby objects. operator in sight at all times while being aware of surrounding <br /> structures. <br /> 2d. EXPOSURE: 2d.The spotter will position him/herself upwind of the working <br /> Inhalation of exhaust from machinery,when possible. Spotter will also inform others working <br /> machinery. within the vicinity of the EZ of proper positioning,if applicable. <br /> ' Each Job or Operation consists of a set of tasks/steps. Be sure to list all the steps needed to perform job. <br /> A hazard is a potential danger. Break hazards into six types: Contact-victim is struck by or strikes an object; <br /> Caught-victim is caught on,caught in or caught between objects;Fall-victim falls to ground or lower level(includes slips and trips);Exertion-excessive strain or stress/ergonomics/lifting <br /> techniques;Exposure-inhalation/skin hazards. <br /> ' Using the first two columns as a guide,decide what actions or procedures are necessary to eliminate or minimize the risk. List the recommended safe operating procedures. Say exactly what <br /> needs to be done-such as"use two persons to lift".
