SANJ O A Q U I N Environmental Health Department
--00UNJ Y
Complaint Record Daily Time and Activity Summary from 1/1/2014 to
2/17/2060 for COXXG9PO8 located at
1000 Roth Rd., French Camp
Activity Date Recorded by
01/25/2018 Initial call received at approximately 8:30 pm. PE 2546 RUVALCABA
60 min The Union Pacific Critical call center was called to receive more information at SC 978
approximately 8:45 pm. Spoke with Jessica after the vetting process. Jessica
stated that approximately one gallon of diesel had spilled onto ballast. Patriot
Environmental had been contacted and was on the way to perform the cleanup.
The cause of the spill was unknown. Paul Holt(916) 540-0496 was identified as
the contact and the hazmat manager on duty for Union Pacific. Paul made similar
statements and explained that the leak was due to a refrigerated shipping
containers diesel tank, the cause of the leak had not been determined. The
shipping container had been moved from its original staging area and to the
facilities leaker area. Patriot Environmental would be onsite at approximately 11:00
pm.
Arrived at site at 11:00 pm. Patriot Environmental supervisor was onsite and was
waiting for the cleanup crew to arrive. Observed an active leak from the diesel
tank of a refrigerated shipping container, number TGXU560714 with Tiger Cool
Express painted on the side. Absorbent material had been placed under the area
were the dripping was occurring from the leak. A second container that was
underneath the leaking container had also been moved to the leaker area. The
second container was wiped down with Simple Green. The cause of the leak could
not be identified and the fuel was pumped out of the shipping container's holding
tank. The site where the container was originally was cleaned by applying
absorbent material and sweeping it up. Three 50 gallon steel drums of waste were
generated. Two drums were used for the liquid waste and one drum for the solid
waste. Drums will be kept at facility, pending profile and will be disposed of from
the facility.
01/26/2018 Continuation of time from the 01/25/2018 entry.
