(916) PE 2546 GAITAN <br /> 12 min 786-7369 SC 544 <br /> Sent me an email with the excavation work plan and soil sampling. He stated <br /> based on the soil samples that they would have to do some additional excavation. <br /> He stated that he will update me on when clean-up will be performed. <br /> 07/27/2020 received email from Julie Munn, Senior Scientist, for Arcadis. PE 2546 GAITAN <br /> 18 min Julie.d.munn@arcadis.com SC 544 <br /> Updated me that clean-up and excavation will begin on Monday,August 3rd and is <br /> expected to last until August 7th. On site contact will be Jan Weninger, (916) <br /> 622-9731. Sent response email requested to receive an update of when clean-up <br /> is almost completed. <br /> 08/03/2020 Updated Elena Manzo (Lead Senior REHS) and John Alaniz (RENS) on PE 2546 GAITAN <br /> 30 min complaint. Sent site map and complaint number to John and Michelle Henry (Lead SC 007 <br /> Senior REHS). Contacted Jan Weninger,Arcadis, (916) 622-9731. He stated that <br /> he expected the excavation to be a week long. He stated that they will be <br /> excavating and backfilling in sections. He stated that excavation will only be <br /> performed between 7:30-4:30pm. Contacted Elena and updated her on new <br /> information. Based on discussion, I prepared to show up to site. Contacted John <br /> notified him that he will not be going to verify clean-up. <br /> 08/03/2020 Was updated of complaint by Jason Gaitan, Lead Inspector. Possibility that I had PE 2546 ALANIZ <br /> 18 min to respond because I was on "C." It was determined that no response was SC 007 <br /> necessary from me. <br /> 08/03/2020 Sent copy of soil sample results to Elena Manzo I Lead Senior REHS1. PE 2546 GAITAN <br /> 12 min SC 007 <br /> 08/03/2020 Met with Jan Weninger,Arcadis, (916) 622-9731 and Patriot Environmental crew. PE 2546 GAITAN <br /> 270 min Went over excavation strategy, he stated that he will be taking side wall soil SC 544 <br /> samples from the North, West, and South side of the excavation area. He stated <br /> that the East side of the excavation area showed no signs of impact. He stated <br /> that he will also be taking a waste characterization sample from waste generated <br /> from clean-up. <br /> Patriot environmental excavated approximately 18-24 inches deep between each <br /> track ballast. Depth varies based off of earlier soil sample results. Jan did a PID <br /> test from three excavation area, one located approximately 16 feet north (edge of <br /> excavation area, 42 feet mark) from soil sample site SS-5, results yielded 1.9 <br /> ppm. Jan did another PID test from approximately 8 feet north of soil sample site <br /> SS-5; results yielded 0.0 ppm. Jan did a PID test from an area adjacent to soil <br /> sample SS-5; results yielded 11.3 ppm. Contacted Elena Manzo ILead Senior <br /> REHS1 updated her on clean-up progress. <br /> Jan performed a PID test closer to initial diesel impact area, adjacent to soil <br /> sample SS-1; yielded results closer 390 ppm. <br /> Note: initial reading resulted in greater than 400 ppm, not photographed. <br /> Page 7 of 10 <br />
