Scales to serve the landfill in the last development phase will be removed in closure.
Dismantling of environmental control system are not planned.
Existing survey monuments on site will be maintained and used for differential settlement surveys.
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES DESIGN AND CQA
Prepare Final Closure and Post Closure Maintenance Plan for RWQCB and CalRecycle
Prepare closure construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
Fencing will be placed around the entire site as it is developed. The cost for closure includes approximately 1000
feet of fencing replacement.
Table 2 (Continued) - Notes
Unit costs are based on recent construction projects at North County Sanitary Landfill and Foothill Landfill.
Final closure project will include approximately 185 acres. Assume evapo-transpirative closure consisting of an
additional three feet of soil over existing two feet of interim cover (total depth = five feet). All soils from on-site
sources. Limited onsite soil testing indicates soils are silty/sandy, and suitable for evpotranspiration layer.
Strata are consistent at site.
Leachate system will be installed as each module is constructed, therefore not part of closure construction. Cost
shown in this table covers inspection and any repairs of the pumping and removal facilities, as needed.
Monitoring - Existing perimeter migration monitoring wells will be used.LFG System- Existng Gas Collection system will be used. Additional LFG extraction wells to be placed in the last
module.
Before closure site will be fully developed to handle stormwater discharges. Stormwater will be discharged into
existing wetlands. During closure existing stormwater facilities will be used.
N:\1North County\CalRecycle-LEA\JTDs\2024 Rev\Appendices\Appendix B - Closure PCMP\NC PCPCMP 10-30-2024 Prelim Clos Cost 2024
