Minimum safe distance from bucket is 15-feet away. <br />3. Visually scan for overhead hazards and keep equipment a minimum distance of 15-feet away. <br />2. Call 811 before you dig, physically verify the location and depth of existing utilities prior to starting <br />excavation through geophysical and utility survey, review as-built/historical drawings, <br />protect all existing utilities during excavation as soil is removed, Hand dig/excavate or utilize non- <br />aggressive methods when working within 2-feet of existing utilities. Request utility companies or <br />owners to determine the location of underground utility installations before excavating. <br />M <br />3. Do not work your back towards traffic. Always use traffic control devices such as barricades, cones, <br />delineators and signage to control traffic.
